Why animal wellness matters

Small improvements in comfort and mobility can mean more play, better rest, and a happier day-to-day routine.

Support comfort without adding stress
Many pets do best with gentle options that are calm, quick, and consistent. Light sessions are designed to feel relaxing and easy to repeat.
Common goals: ease stiffness, support recovery after activity, and maintain a steady mobility routine.
A simple routine can add up
The best results typically come from a schedule: a short series of sessions close together, then maintenance based on your animal’s needs.
Treatment plans can be customized based on your animal’s condition, tolerance, and the specific area you want to support.

About

A calm, compassionate approach to supporting animals through every stage of life.

Hi, I’m Amaya Animal Wellness Practitioner

Hi, I’m Amaya, an Animal Wellness Practitioner, and caring for animals has always been at the heart of who I am. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Animal Science with a Pre-Veterinary Medicine emphasis, and over the years I’ve been fortunate to work closely with animals of all kinds — in veterinary clinics, with horses, and alongside livestock. Those experiences shaped my passion for gentle, supportive care that helps animals feel safe, comfortable, and understood.

I created this animal wellness practice to offer a calm, compassionate approach to supporting animals through every stage of life. My work is centered on helping animals feel more comfortable in their bodies, recover with less stress, and be supported in a way that respects their individual needs and temperament.

As an Animal Wellness Practitioner, I focus on non-invasive therapies, including red and blue light therapy, to support comfort, skin health, and overall well-being in a calm and supportive way. My goal is simple: to help animals move more comfortably, recover more smoothly, and enjoy a better quality of life.

I treat every animal as if they were my own, and I believe in taking the time to truly understand them while supporting the people who love and care for them. This work means so much to me, and I feel incredibly grateful to be part of each animal’s journey toward comfort and wellness.

What it can support
Red light therapy (photobiomodulation) is widely used to support comfort by reducing inflammation response, improving circulation, and supporting tissue repair. It is non-invasive and often used alongside rehab, acupressure, and veterinary care plans.
Notes: This is wellness support and is not a substitute for veterinary diagnosis or treatment. We do not treat eyes, and we avoid areas where your veterinarian advises against therapy.
Common conditions supported
Your animal’s plan is always customized based on their condition and tolerance.

Questions people usually have

These answers are designed to reduce doubt and set clear expectations.

The sessions are non-invasive and designed to be gentle. We avoid eyes and we focus on comfort areas such as joints and muscles. If your animal has a specific medical condition, ask your veterinarian if light therapy support is appropriate.
Many owners use red and near-infrared light sessions as part of a comfort plan for arthritis and stiffness. The key is consistency: a short series of sessions close together, then maintenance. Results vary by animal, age, and severity.
Common use cases include inflammation support, muscle soreness after activity, soft tissue comfort, and superficial skin support such as minor cuts, scrapes, or irritation. It is not a replacement for wound care, sutures, antibiotics, or veterinary treatment when those are needed.
Some animals show small changes quickly (moving a bit easier after a session). More often, meaningful change is noticed after a short series. We will recommend a plan based on the animal, the area, and your goals.
Usually no. We work carefully through coat, but thick or dark coats can require extra time. For horses, large areas typically need longer sessions because of coat and surface area.
